Caroline Fehl is Senior Researcher at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF)/Leibniz-Institut Hessische Stiftung Friedens- und Konfliktforschung (HSFK). Her research focuses on international institutions and norms in the realm of international security, specifically arms control and international humanitarian/criminal law. She has recently worked on projects dealing with institutional (in)inequalities, institutional and norm complexity and the United States’ relationship with multilateral institutions. She directs the DFG-funded project “Norm linkage as politics of legitimacy: The interaction of protection and prosecution norms in humanitarian intervention debates”. Her research has been published, inter alia, by Oxford University Press and peer-reviewed journals such as the European Journal of International Relations and the Review of International Studies.
